The house is actually in Germantown, TN which is a bedroom community of Memphis and is in Shelby County so Memphis city taxes don't apply and we're in the county school district and not the Memphis city school district.  If you like trees, and you don't have to be a treehugger for that, then you'll love Germantown.  When we moved down here from Chicago 18 years ago and drove around looking for a house to buy we fell in love with Germantown.  Our house has many trees on the property which are not only beautiful, but serve an economical purpose.  They keep the sun off in the summer which keeps the electric bill down.  Our kids and grandkids attended Germantown Elementary, Germantown Middle, and Germantown High School.  They are great schools.
